Sonic Cartography

This project was designed to expand our drawing knowledge and challenge the notations of what drawing is and what can be drawn. We had to respond to the music that was played in the studio and create our own sound maps/ landscapes based on what we heard, utilizing the wide range of media provided.
To create these final outcomes I used indian ink, masking tape and coloured pencils. I tried to incorporate a range of different shapes, some that represented very hard/ loud sounds contrasting against the very soft/ quiet sounds.
